  • Richar Ruiz Speed depends on system and settings. ScreenFlow 7 series is actually much faster with settings targeting that. You'd have to give me specific settings for me to make suggestions. Of course you system impacts speed as well but I'm assuming that hasn't changed.

  • @CraigS I have a Macbook pro 2015,  please find enclosed a picture.

No matter what format I used, screenflow 6 always performed really fast. I don´t know what to do, please help me.

  • CraigS I already have the latest version. I just made an experiment opening a file done with screenflow 6 and then it exported pretty fast, as it used to do it. Then I did exactly as you say, I chose the speed and I did not change anything. I cannot believe this, this new version is really causing problems. My question is, can I downgrade to screenflow 6? I don´t care about new fancy features, I just need to do the basic stuff and then export it as fast as possible.

I am aware you guys work so hard to make the best product possible but this time at least for it is not working.

Looking forward to receiving your help.

ScreenFlow 7 will export just as fast as ScreenFlow 6 if the export parameters are the same. In version 7, we changed the default export datarate so that our customers would see higher quality exports. In ScreenFlow 6, the default datarate was 1,200 kbits/sec - in ScreenFlow 7, the default datarate is 3,000 kbits/sec. This is likely why you're seeing "slower" exports in version 7.

To change this behavior in ScreenFlow 7, open the Export panel and select the 'Manual' export option. Assure that the export Preset 'Web - High' is selected and open the 'Customize...' menu. In the customization menu, you will see a 'Datarate' parameter - set the Datarate to 1,200 kbits/sec and select Ok. Next select the gear/cog dropdown and choose 'Make Current Settings Default'.

Let me know if this solves your issue.
