Dropping Frames

I am really frustrated with Wirecast in that ever since moving to v7 I am experiencing large number of frames drops when using layers with text on them.  I was asked to upgrade to the Beta v10 and it is still happening.  I am at the point where I am going to have to look for some other casting software as Wirecast support appear to not be able to fix this issue.  What is really annoying is that I am only using a real basic set-up in Wirecast - I would love to move onto start using all the great new features but this problem is a show-stopper for me.

Can anyone help please?

  • Dropped frames can be caused by CPU use, ISP issues, server issues, drive throughput issues and sometimes source content relative to starting a stream with certain CDNs. I'd like to help but I'd need the specifics since we're not seeing other reports like this. The issue might be specific to your circumstance.

    Since the beta is closed and Wirecast 10 is released please post in the public forum.
