I'm considering upgrading / building a computer and I'm wondering how screenflow works.

I have two huge pain points in screenflow right now:

1. The wave form drawing is so slow. It is much better on my recent 16" macbook pro but I'd like it to be instant, without having to hit pause and wait for them to draw.

2. The 4k exports are slow - a 20min screen cast takes ~25 mins to export to youtube

I've seen some old threads that state screenflow doesn't use the GPU for exporting.  Is this still the case? What about wave form drawing? Does that use CPU? Or GPU?

Generally, CPU has a greater impact than GPU but GPU can be important for capture. Screen Capture itself is the OS/GPU relationship as are some of the actions/callouts.

Overall though CPU has a greater impact.
