Can no longer export with transparent background
Hey gang, I'm using Version 10.0.4 (31881) on MacOS Monterrey and when enabling the checkerboard and exporting Pro-res with alpha, I'm getting a solid black background when pulling the clip back into Screenflow. Any idea where this black background might be coming from?

Which Mac model are you using? Is it an M1Max or M1Pro laptop?
Can you see the checkerboard in the timeline canvas?
Check the export in another program if you can. The export might be good but there might be a playback issue.
If you can link to a sample export I can test on my systems as well.

Hey Craig, thank you for the swift reply. I've reproduced this issue on two computers of mine, one with an M1 Pro and the other with an M1 Max. The checkerboard does appear in the timeline canvas. The issue only appears after export. I'll attach a couple of screenshots and a link to the file exported with the displayed settings.

Joseph Todaro Thanks for that. I tested your exported file in another program and confirmed there is no Alpha channel.

Joseph Todaro Would you be able to link to the Document so we can do a test export on our computer models? We can confirm this is specific to M1Max/M1Pro CPUs.

Hi Craig! Seeing a similar issue on my side on an m1, checkered background works on screenflow and then when I drop into premiere, it's all black

Details are very important when we investigate Different systems handle this differently and ScreenFlow 10.0.5 works on M1 Macs, not M1 Max Macs. And you must be exporting ProRes with Alpha. Sorry but we can't make any assumptions. Please report complete specs. An issue needs to be reproducible.

CraigS It's an M1 Pro and I'm on version 10.0.5 and I am exporting ProRes with Alpha (profile 4444)

Any update on this? Using 10.0.6 and it still won't export with a transparent background.
I've got a time-sensitive project and would do absolutely anything I need to make this work in the next day or two like downloading an older version of ScreenFlow and rebuilding it but I have no idea if that would even work because all I've got is an M1 MacBook Pro. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated!

Evan Lemmons We're still working on this one. We're hoping to have it fixed for the next update but it may take more work so we can't say for sure.
