Customized shortcuts won`t work anymore

I`ve made some customized shortcuts which are very useful for me but all of a sudden the customized shortcut for "zoom in timeline" does not work anymore.

(I`ve assigned it to "1"). It has been working fine for months however. All the other customized shortcuts are still working.

I`ve tried to erase my duplicated shortcut list and assigned all the customized shortcuts again, but the problem persists. If I click on the key nothing happens and I can hear an error sound.

I do not see any conflicts in the list. The original shortcut ("=") works fine.

Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?

I'd like to help but I'd need more information.
What version of ScreenFlow and what OS?
Did you recently update your OS?
This sounds like it might be a System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts issue. You may want to check that.

    • CraigS I`m running the newest SF Version (10.0.4) and a Mac mini (M1, 2020) in Monterey.

It is really strange, sometimes the shortcut works, sometimes it won`t and I´ll get the alert ton.

All the other customized shortcuts work fine, but "zoom in on timeline" is stupidly the most important one for me...

I do not see any problems in the system preferences

I wonder if there is a localization issue.

If you're seeing an alert it may indicate what the issue is such as a conflict with the command being used by another program.

    • CraigS So I checked all my other programs and closed them down, but the issue persists. I`ve attached a video, maybe that helps you better to understand.

      - Customized shortcuts 2 (zoom out in timeline) and 3 (fit timeline to monitor) work fine

      - The customized shortcut 1 (zoom in on timeline) won`t work

      - The standard shortcut shift+= works fine

What`s really strange is that I don`t see this shortcut (shift+=) assigned in the standart shortcuts list of screenflow.

I really hope you can help me, because it has been my mostly used shortcut for years now...

Martin Wolfinger is your computer beeping when you use the 1 key for the shortcut. That's a system beep (warning). Try changing it to another key. It's possible you have a System Preferences Keyboard Shortcut conflict or may another app using it as a "global" keystroke.

I can use the same keystrokes as you do on ScreenFlow 10.0.4 on Big Sur and Monterey (tested on both MBP and iMac) so the issue may be related to a keyboard conflict with a system keyboard shortcut or another open app using it.

You could be changing to another conflicting keystroke. I'd need details. I can confirm using the keys you use work for me so i believe you have key conflicts on your system. That you get a system beep indicates a warning that's coming from macOS, not ScreenFlow.
