video lags behind audio w/ AVC H264 .mp4 encoding

New to Switch (4.5.7) but noticing a consistent video lag in .mp4 files encoded via Adobe Media Encoder. The lag is not present in Windows 10's basic video player, VLC, etc. Nor is the lag present with prores .mov files...I haven't thoroughly tested encoding setttings beyond that...just A/B'd some prores and .mp4 files to troubleshoot the issue...feel confident it is a Switch issue.

I'd say the video is lagging behind the audio 1-5 frames. Slight but certainly noticeable lip sync.

Are you seeing this by eye while playing back?
How are you monitoring the audio?
Can you encode the same source file in Handbrake and play that back in Switch?
Can you provide one of the problem files for us to examine?

CraigS Thanks for the reply Craig...

      Seeing by eye, yes.

Monitoring via Line Out to Big Knob Studio +. That was my first guess but I'm getting good lip sync via Premiere and Windows default "Movie and TV" player so that points the finger at Switch.

Tried some handbrake tests...both with the "A/V sync" function on and off. The visible lip sync is actually noticeably worse with those files!

I'd be happy to shoot you a dropbox link, can you provide me with an email address? The videos I'm testing cannot be shared publicly.

AndyDV fill out the form and include the dropbox link with that. When you get the case number post it here so I can track the investigation and test as well.

Have you tried monitoring through the computer speakers (if possible) to eliminate any potential USB output related issues?
