Mac Studio -- Streaming 4K and 1080p simultaneously = dropped frames
I have a Mac Studio, M1 Max, 10-core, 64 GB, 4 TB--so I thought I would have enough horsepower to stream high school sporting events at 4K and 1080 together -- I live in a rural area, and many people wouldn't be able to stream 4K. Today is the first time I've tested it out (I've been using Windows PCs for the last 10 years of streaming).
I can stream 4K 60 fps (at 20 Mbps and even 26 Mbps) with no problem, but when I add the 1080 stream, I get about 15 dropped frames every second.. CPU usage is in the low 20s, and upload capacity is around 95 Mbps at the school (and over 200 Mbps at home, where I still get the same 15 dropped frames per second).
Suggestions?
I also have another problem that I've encountered in the past but can't remember how I fixed it: On the Mac, whenever I play a graphic overlay, it keeps repeating until I click on 'Clear Layer.' I've checked my Windows machine (which I've used up until today's testing), and don't see anything different in my menu selections. How do I turn off the auto-repeat?

Please make sure you're on Wirecast 15.1.1 and macOS 12.6.
Make sure you're not using Apple H.264 and using x264 for both encoders.
What encoders are you using specifically?

x264 fixed the main problem. Is the video quality of x264 as good as the Apple encoder? I just had a little time to check it out this morning, and it didn't seem as crisp.
Another problem now--yesterday I activated the license for use on the Mac, and I was streaming without the watermark/audio overlay. This morning, the overlay was back on, and when I would try and activate the license again, it said that I had reached the activation limit. What's going on?

s the video quality of x264 as good as the Apple encoderBetter relative to the bit rate. Apple encoder was primarily designed for recording and not live streaming so it can have issues. It does use less CPU so it's OK to use if you'd stress your CPU otherwise. But that's not the issue in your case.

Always keep this link on hand so you can deactivate remotely so you don't have to find that other computer activation.

Only one activation allowed? That's been the official position in the End User License Agreement.
The system might have been allowing two for a time but the EULA always stated one. Sorry about that.
