Color Space Conflict Detected

Hello, I'm looking for assistance in interpreting a message on the Switch Media Inspector. I expand the Color Space item to reveal Color Primaries, Matrix Coefficients, and Transfer Characteristics. When I hover over the Color Primaries and Matrix Coefficients I see a pop-up hit that says this respectively:

Conflict detected. The container says the ColorPrimaries is 2, but the essence says it is 1.
Conflict detected. The container says the ColorMatrixcoefficients is 2, but the essence says it is 1.

What do the numbers 2 and 1 indicate in this context?

Thanks,

Nick

Thank you for reporting this. There are a couple of issues we need to resolve. Investigating SWITCHWIN-4797

Instead of reporting "1" and "2" it should display color primaries 1 is ITU-R BT.709, and color primaries 2 is "unspecified".

Both values are from ISO 23008-2 Table E.3.

Also, it should not report a conflict when one of the two values is unspecified. Ideally, the essence and the container would have matching values, but having them in only one place is not a conflict.

Hopefully, the explanation helps. We'll work on the fix. Sorry about that.
