I have a Alienware M15 r4 laptop and I'm having an issue capturing the zoom audio in wirecast.
On my MBP there's no issue and I have the same settings but for some reason with this computer I cant capture the system audio via screen capture, besides that everything else works great.
Yes I reset preferences, started a new document, made sure "capture system audio is checked". I played around with everything I could possibly do, any other suggestions to bring my zoom audio into wirecast?
Also I'm using windows 10.

Mr. Thompson Try capturing a Youtube video playing in a browser. Make this is a Zoom vs system issue.

Mr. Thompson Uninstall Wirecast. Reboot the computer. Install Wirecast 14.2.1. Without starting any other programs start Wirecast Screen Capture and enable Capture System Sound and see if at any point it installs a driver.

Mr. Thompson
Please see if you can add System Audio Capture as a shot.
Then see what its options are to capture. Try Default.Make sure it's also selected in Wirecast Audio Mixer as Audio Playback
and also in Wirecast Preferences
By adding it as a Shot it should capture system sound when the shot is selected. That could be the YouTube video in the browser for example (keep in mind the YouTube volume must be up and you should also hear it out of your computer speakers.

CraigS I did everything as you said. It’s still not capturing the audio.
It also didn’t point me to any drivers when I reinstalled Wirecast also.

Mr. Thompson Do you hear audio out of the computer built-in speakers when you play the YouTube video?
Also, check to see what you have selected under the computer speaker icon

Mr. Thompson Try creating a New User Admin account and testing there. I know that's a bother but we need to see if this is an account or system issue.

Mr. Thompson Do you have any third-party audio routing software installed that might hijack the sound?

Mr. Thompson
Check the sampling rate of the speakers.- Open up the Windows Sound Settings and select "Sound Control Panel" from "Related Settings" on the right side of the window.
- Under the playback tab of the Sound control panel select Speaker (Realtek) and click on "Properties".
- Then see what the format is set to under "Advanced".

Mr. Thompson Next step.
Instead of using "Default" in Wirecast go through and change everything, Wirecast Preferences Audio Playback, Audio Mixer, Audio Capture to Speakers Realtek and try capturing.Like -

Mr. Thompson Let's see if this is a Wirecast issue.
Install Newtek NDI Tools and start NDI ScanConverter (also called NDI Screen Capture recently).
Start it and make sure it's set to capture System Audio
Start playing the YouTube Video making sure you hear it out of your computer speakers as well.
Add the NDI Source as a shot.
If it's capturing system sound you will see Status Receiving and Audio. You will see the audio meters with audio.

Mr. Thompson and you set NDI Screen Capture to capture System Sound?
as per https://telestreamforum.forumbee.com/t/35hk2ny?r=y4hkbjh
If so this may not be a Wirecast-specific problem.
There's something about your computer or setup that blocking capture.Like
