Screenflow Beta for macOS 11 (Big Sur)
Hi Screenflow Team,
I would like to use and test the upcoming Screenflow on my computer using macOS 11 (Big Sur) operating system.
Currently, I'm recording iOS 14 app development tutorials on macOS 11 betas and it's crucial to have a working Screenflow on this machine.
Is there any way to take part in this beta testing until the next updates of Screenflow?

We're certainly testing (and also will be with Apple Silicon). I'll check on our Beta strategy for you.

CraigS Any progress on getting a version working on apple silicon? my MacBook is in for repair and my only computer to use is the dev transition kit. I would love to get a beta version please that I can test out for you while I am attempting to do my work.

dlecouilliard We're testing and fixing issues. We don't have anything we'd distribute yet. I can't say that will happen given the potential turnaround time (possibly very short) if we'll have a beta to send out.
I've pointed out that some may need a version to show Big Sur features on their own and in relation to app they're working on.
There's nothing they feel comfortable sharing (yet). -
CraigS great. I just need the base features working for now. screen recording along with ability to cut and add in text. the really fancy stuff can wait if its still buggy.

dlecouilliard The issues we say may impact those features. You can certainly ask though.

I had a similar issue as you Robert. What I ended up doing since Screenflow doesn't yet run properly on the Apple Silicon was to enable screen sharing and I did all of the production from my main Apple computer. It actually worked well and allowed me to get the video created without any issues.

I'm also waiting for this.
The very latest version of Camtasia 2020 does work (screen recording) on my MacBook Pro M1 on Big Sur, BUT export times are 10x SLOWER than an Intel Mac currently, so that is not really workable.
Hopefully a Beta Screenflow will be available very soon that take advantage of Big Sur and Apple Silicon where export times are MUCH faster than Intel Macs!
I hope the new version of Screenflow can better handle "unoptimized" Zoom recordings as the could not be edited on Screenflow 9 on Intel Macs whereas they can be edited on Camtasia 2020... -

can better handle "unoptimized" Zoom recordingsEven if the handling were better it wouldn't be idle. The issue is around the file structure Zoom uses which will make editing difficult. Zoom's editing compatibility setting may always be better.

Installed now, still pretty laggy for me on a new M1 MBP but I'll play around with settings etc
