How do you Enter Preview in Screenflow 7
Hello,
In ScreenFlow 6 there was an option to enter preview in the "view" section. When you press enter preview your video expands to your full screen without having the timeline or anything.
I just got ScreenFlow 7 and I cannot find any option to do this... It seems that they have taken out the ability to do so. Does anyone know how to do it? (I'm sorry if it is an obvious answer)

In ScreenFlow 7 we added View > Hide Inspector and View > Hide Timeline.
With those additions you can see the Canvas clean. The performance should be better than ScreenFlow 6 Preview. -

Tarush Gandhi That's what we found. Also with our improved user customizable key commands, you can create key commands to Hide Inspector and Hide Timeline.

The Quick key was Opt-Apple-F. That doesn't seem to work now for Preview? I hid the Inspector and the Timeline but the Preview mode did not activate (did not full screen, did not lose the black framing. No way is this a preview mode. Are you saying we also have to drag around and resize screens? Or am I misunderstanding something?

SilkCharm We removed the Preview mode because there were issues with it. You can zoom in so the image fills the screen.

CraigS hide inspector hide timeline then I'll have to expand the window then zoom every few minutes instead of hitting the quick key? Meh. I've downgraded - I'll upgrade when fixed. This is the most common thing I do! Please let me know when it's fixed.

SilkCharm You'd have to make the feature request since we found the new method more reliable (although certainly more key strokes).

I agree with SilkCharm. If a feature that is important for editors/creators is broken then wouldn't the better solution be to fix it, instead of removing it?

Perhaps better quality, but i still have to hide Inspector and view each time i want to control a full preview ... I think back to version 6 !

Sorry, I have to disagree. This is a step backwards. Have to do multiple keystrokes?
If you wanted to take it out to revamp it. Fine! However, if we are doing "removing all the bloody windows through multiple bloody keystrokes"... At least, have ONE option in the pull down menu that would accomplish this. I don't know.. call it... HIDE ALL"Sheesh...

John Lambert certainly make the feature request. Perhaps the developers didn't envision the need.

Doesn't look like this issue has been addressed in the intervening months. Another vote to bring back the preview functionality. The upgrade to version 7 has caused significant problems and resulted in of hours of lost time. Not good.

Mark Taylor Please fill out the feature request form. There were serious concerns about Preview which is why it was removed. Reintroducing it would involve investigating. Please request it. Investigation may take some time though.

Why not just add a menu item that would call both hide items and enter full screen with the video zoomed and call it Preview? Unless you're coding the behavior directly into the menu items, this should be trivial, a quick win, and would make tons of folks way happier with your product.
Just because it has the same name doesn't mean it has to be the same functionality. And, the only part that seems to be new would be the zooming bit. Everything else is already written - and works (by your own account) much better than the old functionality.
As big a pain as this is, I'm really shocked you all haven't implemented the fix I mention already. Please address the issue post haste.

I guess there is no way for others to vote for this, or for me as the submitter to keep tabs on its progress? Hopefully, you can prioritize into the next maintenance release.
