Restreaming Audio Echo

Just did a test restream to Facebook using the RTMP added the restream to  Periscope and YouTube Live. New version 10.

I muted all of those channel's audio while broadcasting, but when I stopped the live stream and went to each cannel to listen every destinations had a bad audio echo.  Video looked fine.

Do you have a link to any of the VODs from those broadcasts? Wirecast Cloud does not re-transcode the audio or video in any way. The problem is probably unrelated to Wirecast Cloud. What happens if you do the same test without Wirecast Cloud?

You may want to test the recorded streams on a separate computer to avoid potential monitoring issues.

  • Stephen Sarantopoulos Spent about an hour on the support line with Robert and we worked through everything.  Seems like this was not a Wirecast or restreaming issue but a Periscope issue that was causing it.  We also found a number of other  things that were Periscope related that Robert was reporting.

  • Did a re-stream yesterday, August 31st to Facebook, Periscope and YouTube.  Went flawlessly.  Now I'm hoping to add in the closed caption piece to see what we get.
