Wirecast and EOS webcam compatibility
I also cannot get the new official version of Canon Webcam Utility to work with Wirecast. When I add a layer/video capture, it shows and allows me to add EOS Webcam Utility but then it is just there as a layer but will not work. I can get the camera to work via Skype or even the computer camera app but it doesn't work in Wirecast.

Jose Lopez Are you on Mac? Please test in Quicktime first. On Windows test with Microsoft Camera first.
Please include OS version and Wirecast version (current is 14.0.1 on Mac, 14.0 on Windows). Also include Canon Webcam Utility version, the

Hello and thanks for the prompt response.
I am presently on Windows 10 and using WireCast v12.1.1.
I can successfully use EOS Webcam Utility via Microsoft Camera App and using EOS Webcam Utility v1.0.
Canon's 1st official version as of earlier this Sept. It is the most current version.
It also tested successfully via Skype.
It shows available under Video Capture / EOS Webcam Utility but once added it won't work at all.

See if that pull down also gives you codec choices.
Also, download the trial of Wirecast 14.0.3, create a new document, and see if it's still not working.-

Canon EOS Webcam Utility only allows for 1024 x 576, per Canon, and no other codecs available.
I did check with Wirecast 14.0.3 (the latest version on your site) an successfully opened an EOS Webcam layer. Works fine with this version.
Unfortunately, my version is 12.1.1.
If available under Video Capture / System Device in version 12.1.1, why is it not working though?

CraigS Who can I speak to about getting a discount on my upgrade if I go that route? I hadn't planned on upgrading to be honest. Being that I rarely use Wirecast and now only need to upgrade to be able to use EOS Webcam Utility. Can you give me a discount?
