Playlist low frame rte

Good day.

We are facing this problem after your last update.

Previously, three channels were launched without problems. And now we are getting a loss of frames. You can watch the video for yourself.

Ilqar Please confirm you have updated to Wirecast 14.2.1.
It looks like you have having a problem with low frame rate in Playlist.
What version were you one when this last worked?

Please create a New Blank Document and import just one file. Do not create a Playlist. Play the file back in the Live area and see what it looks like.

  • Yes, we have the latest version of the program.

Unfortunately, the problem was solved only by restarting the server and restarting all playlists.

We even tried to completely close and restart the program, but this did not help either.
There were no such problems before the update.

If it is working now perhaps that solved the problem. Sometimes updating to a new version may impact a document.

Ilqar Sorry but I'm not sure what update file you're referring to.  I don't see any other user reports that match yours. Since you mentioned restarting fixed the issue it may have been with the document or the computer's resources needed for the number of files in your playlist.

I previously recommended you test with a New Blank Document and one file. In order to troubleshoot you'd should follow our instructions since we have no reports of this for us to test otherwise. I'd like to help but you have to follow our instructions.

  • Regardless of the changes, these friezes occur. We just got tired of restarting the server every time. There were no such problems on the previous version of Wirecast. If we were, we would immediately write to you about them. After the update, friezes began to appear.

Sorry for the late reply. I did not receive a letter stating that you answered. Yes, literally after a while. Maybe even right after compiling a playlist.

I also want to point out one more problem. This problem exists in all versions. Both old and new.
As you can see, the duration of the file in the folder is indicated. But when I add the file to Wirecast for some reason, the duration is drastically reduced. This happens with these specified files. We tried on different playlists, tried to add the file again. The same problem.

And that will give us important information to investigate.
If you now see the issue in 14.0x it may mean there's another issue.

There was also 14.1.1 between 14.0 and 14.2.1 which might be worth checking depending on your 14.0x results.

I sent you files that Wirecast cut their duration.
You offered me to select a file and select Modify Duration.

I tested this point and this is what it led to:

If the length of the file is 20 minutes and Wirecast cuts it for some reason to 3-4 minutes. We used the Modify Duration function and increased the file duration to 20 minutes. But Wirecast gave us the fact that the file plays for 3-4 minutes, as long as it cut it and continues to broadcast this file until 20 minutes are typed. That is, the file is practically on repeat.

      Did you understand me?

the video that opens in Wirecast, because it meets all of the MediaFoundation requirements. For example, you can see in the Video tab of the Switch inspector that the AVC profile is "High":

However, the video not importing is missing the AVC profile information. The AVC profile value embedded in the file is zero, which is not a valid profile. This file has the same problem for the AVC level. You can also see that in the Switch inspector:

As a workaround, the user could rewrap the file with another app that properly embeds the profile information.

      We yesterday
installed the most recent version of Wirecast. We will test. While the program is stable, no problems. She began to work faster.

There is one problem where Wirecast freezes and eventually collapses. This was also the case in previous versions.
At the end of each week we remove unnecessary files using the "Media - Show Asset Manager".
With the broadcast turned off, we tried to delete several files, say 20-30. The program froze, eventually closed. We tried to delete 5-10 files, Wirecast hung again, but did not close. After a while, let's say 2-3 minutes, it would be possible to continue working. But if you delete all files at once by selecting the "Delete All" button, then Wirecast does not hang at all, but simply deletes everything and continues to work normally. Can you check it out?

YES files are big. The file size changes from at least 2GB to 6GB. And there are many of them.

I’m just wondering why Wirecast doesn’t hang when deleting all files at once, and if you delete 10-20 files several times, it freezes and turns off. Essentially it should shutdown when deleting at a time too.
