YouTube event streaming and authentication
We usually stream to YouTube using RTMP with a fixed stream key without any problems. Our last broadcast required a 'scheduled event' so we could provide a fixed YT URL destination to another party for a paywall. They needed the destination URL days in advance of the event. We opened WireCast, authenticated, and set up the event. It showed up on the YT dashboard and in WC. We had to change the scheduled 'event time' but when we tried to edit it in WC it would not change in the dashboard. However, changing the Event time in the YT dashboard did show as changed in WC.
On the day of the event we restarted WC, authenticated, selected the event but when we tried to stream the event the stream indicator continuously blinked and no video showed on YT. In a panic, I set up an RTMP stream using the scheduled event's address and stream key copied and pasted from the TY dashboard. This worked. The video streamed and played on the correct YT URL.
Occasionally we need to use 'scheduled events' going forward. Any suggestions on fixing this problem?
I may have a 'support' dump still on the laptop. Wirecast 14.1.2, 15" MacBook Pro, High Sierra/

we tried to stream the event the stream indicator continuously blinked and no video showed on YT.There are some odd things that can happen in YouTube Studio and duplicate stream keys so it's best to edit the event in Wirecast which is why I'm concerned that didn't work.

Wirecast 14.1.2, 15" MacBook Pro, High Sierra/Wirecast 14.1.2 requires Mojave. While I can't say that's part of the problem. Please update the macOS especially since we don't have any reports of this issue on compatible operating system.

but it sometimes it takes a long time to complete the authenticate in WC.Perhaps you have an account-specific issue. There's nothing specific to authorize Wirecast (unlike Facebook for example).
Perhaps you can do a screen recording so we can see:
Schedule the Event in Wirecast.
Edit the Scheduled Event in Wirecast.
If that's working the issue may well be with YouTube Studio. -

it would not change in the dashboard. You may need to refresh YouTube Studio. Perhaps it has an issue showing the update.
Keep in mind when Wirecast changes the Event and the change is displayed in Wirecast, it's receiving that information from the YouTube Studio. So there would have to be a change taking place on YouTube's side. -

we were not able to start the stream to YouTube using the WC YouTube api for the event after authenticating and selecting the scheduled event. That may be a different issue. See if this works for you.
