Share Desktop Not Working

We recently did a Rendezvous setup where the remote guest wanted to share their desktop. When you selected "Share Desktop" from the settings menu (top-right on guest's browser), the screen does not share. Chrome extension is installed and attempted on other machines. Guest video/camera source works.

  • The issue may be with Chrome. Test in Firefox to confirm.
    Once confirmed it's specific to Chrome. Make sure Chrome is up to date.
    Please include Wirecast, OS and Chrome version if it's specific to Chrome.

  • We've tested now with Firefox and Wirecast upgraded to 13.0. Still, the remote guest's desktop will not come up. Also, overall performance of Rendezvous on less ideal connections is not as good as other conference platforms, such as Zoom, RingCentral, etc.

     I don't believe they're using WebRTC so our developed follows the ongoing development of WebRTC.

  • T Held Please fill out the form on Screenshareing in FireFox and Chrome but you must include the version numbers because browsers version does impact this. We need the specific version number. Note you installed the Chrome extension as well. It's possible the changes may need to be done by browser developers as they target WebRTC compatibility. Wirecast Support Form

    I had no problem sharing Windows 10 computer desktop to Wirecast host computer in Rendezvous.
