Speed up multiple clips at once

I find myself often using a "fast forward" effect, where I speed through some slow section of my video. This means changing the speed of all the clips. In SF 6.1, it looks like I have to select each clip and speed it up separately. I'd like to be able to select multiple clips (that are all the same length) and set the length of all of them with one change.

I know that I can drag the clips to resize them, but it's hard to drag them to the exact length I want them to be. I find it much easier to just type "1 s" for 1 second.

Am I missing something and this is already possible?

Unfortunately adjusting the Clip Speed of multiple clips at the same time is not currently possible in ScreenFlow 6, unless of course you use the method that you've already stated, selecting multiple clips, holding ALT and dragging the end of the clips. For documentation purposes, would you issue be resolved if we allowed clip speed to be applied to Nested Clips?

I would love to be able to adjust the clip speed in Nested Clips!

Most certainly fill out the form and make the feature request. The more people who do, the greater potential impact on development priorities.

Yoosam Kang Thank you. The more requests the greater potential influence on development decisions.

  • Agreed. This would be a great feature for hitting the target-length of a how-to video. Just 10% faster can hit that < 2min mark.

Reilly Sweetland Fill out the previously posted Feature Request form so the developers count your support and send you a case number.

Jamie Corroon Not at this time. Developers do look at the vote totals to measure user interest. So voting is important.

  • Friday, March 11, 2022... just curious if this feature has been implemented yet?

BTW: I went to the form suggested above but it's not secure.  Is there any other place where we can vote for feature requests?

    Thanks

No. See the other thread you posted to.FLOW-4267

  • Is this still not an option? I tried nesting clips like you would do in any other video editor (including Camtasia) and then speeding up the nested clip. Clip speed in the clip inspector is STILL greyed out. Is this coming in the future? It was first recommended 6 years ago.

No. But you haven't voted for it. Votes count.

The developers may need to see more user interest. 10 votes in 6 years isn't a highly demanded feature.

    • CraigS Touché voted. I think most people that come here are looking for the answer to solve the issue and completely pass over the voting feature on the right even though its prominently there. For some reason, even though I came here on a mission to vote for this very basic feature I've seen on every video editor I've ever encountered, I completely passed over the vote.

Danny Hector Batista Some users lobby others on social media to vote for this. When I see comments on social media regarding desired features I do remind people to make the feature request.
