Alpha channel codec on windows
I have a wirecast gear windows machine. I have lots of graphics with alpha channels that I’m using on our show. I’ve found that prores 4444 doesn’t play well so I switched all of our graphics to quicktime animation codec. It’s better but still bogs down on playback. Is there a better video codec with alpha channel I can use for this windows machine? Kinda frustrated because we purchased the best machine wirecast could build and we are still having a hard time with these files.

We have the wirecast gear 230. The GPU stay at about 15-25% but when we add video overlays (quicktime animation w/ alpha) one at a time it quickly jumps to 60-70% GPU and the video out of the SDI output starts to lag and the animations themselves coming on don't come on as smooth as we rendered them out. Sometime we have 2-3 graphics in the frame at one time like a countdown timer in upper right corner, location icon in upper left and a lower third name key at the bottom. All of those come in one at a time. I was just hoping that quicktime animation wasn't our only option at this point.
I had talked with wirecast support weeks ago and they told me that Prores 4444 was not supported or recommended for the windows machines and they would eventually add support in an upcoming update.

All of our other machines are Mac so I would love it if the windows version of Wirecast would support Prores 4444 but I guess I'll have to wait for them to address that in an update.
Quicktime animation is supported but I still don't feel it works very well on the system which is frustrating because we purchased the Wirecast gear 230 assuming it was their preferred system. If I knew it wasn't going to playback those graphics as smooth I would have just used one of our Mac pros with a black magic card.
