Wirecast with Switcher

I asked this on another Wirecast sub-forum, but I wanted to ask here to be safe.

I am considering a change to my Wirecast setup and I need your help in figuring out if I can do what I want to do.

I am considering purchasing a Roland V-1HD Portable 4 x HDMI Input Switcher. I would like to do the switching on the Roland, but record via Wirecast.

All I want to do is use my Wirecast turnkey computer to capture and record the HDMI video output from the Roland switcher.

The switching would be done by the switcher, while the video output from the switcher would be sent to the Wirecast computer as a HDMI input to be recorded in the Wirecast software.

I have been told on the other sub-forum I can do this. Is this correct?

If this is possible, could I get an HDMI splitter to split the output between the Wirecast computer and a separate monitor so I can see the Program Output on a separate monitor if I need to?

Thank you for your help!

That should work. It'll be interesting for other Gear users to share their experiences though.
