Screenflow drops video capture recording

I record my screen and a signal from dslr via hdmi capture device on 15' MacBook Pro 2017 via Screenflow 8.2.2. But occasionally screenflow drops recording hdmi signal (in Recording Monitor I see black screen going on - http://take.ms/DEbBh , and in result there is no recorded video, just freezes last recorded frame)

I was thinking that this is capture device issue, but I change already 3 different devices (from Elgato, Blackmagic and Ezcap) and all they give same result - dropped recording at some moment.

Also, i noticed that there is no such problem on my other laptop MacBook Air mid13.

Worst thing that it happens always in different moment (may after 5 seconds, but may after 20 minutes of recording) and I never know when it stops - several times It causes a big problems :(

Please - how can I fix this?

We don't officially support HDMI to USB3 devices although they generally do work. The three you're using are not the ones we find most recommended. Blackmagic driver isn't compatible for HDMI to USB3 capture and Elgato may have issues. Ezcaps come from various sources and may have build reliability issues.

What I see most recommended are Magewell, Epiphan and Inogeni and some have direct good experience with those.

One of the issues is that these devices are bus powered and both the power and data bandwidth is shared across the other USB ports which may be on the same bus.

You could try removing all other USB devices and power the laptop by AC and see if that makes a difference.
