Wirecast Dropped Frames/Video Stops Streaming
During my stream, the "dropped" number will slowly increase and then at some point the video portion of the stream cuts out and it it says it's sending "0 kbps." Sometimes it cuts out after 15 minutes and sometimes it'll stream problem-free for two hours, but it usually cuts out at some point during my stream. To solve the problem in the moment, I just stop and start the stream.
My setup includes a HD camcorder with an HDMI cable running into a Magewell converter and then running into the USB port. I also have audio coming through via a second USB port.
Any solutions to this, so it doesn't keep dropping off?
I'd like to help but there's not enough information. It could be an older version of Wirecast, an issue with certain source files. CPU or encoder related.
Please do read READ BEFORE POSTING at the top of this product forum. We endeavor to trouble shoot this as quickly as possible so including complete details reduces a lot of back and forth questions.
Sorry for not giving more information. I am using Wirecast 8. I am so knew to this and not a tech person at all, so I am not sure what is relevant. My processor is an Intel (R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz with installed memory of 16.0 GB. I don't know if that's relevant or not. Is that helpful?

Mark Janzen As a test try going to a different CDN. It could be a free Ustream account for example. Try a document just using a webcam for example.
That it's happening after two hours sounds like it's accumulative issue with settings, ISP, CDN since those are the only points that might change over time (outside of a memory leak).
Since you have an i7 CPU you can also try Intel QuickSync (again examining the possibility this is an encoder issue) but it you're seeing this with both MainConcept and x264 it would seem less likely that the encoder is at issue.
BTW you had indicated 39mbps up originally and your test shows 11.5mbps. Is it possible your speed is fluctuating over time? Or perhaps there's a data cap? These are all potential issues.
CraigS So, I tried streaming to a different CDN and the results were the same. I also tried Intel QuickSync and still I am getting the a number coming up under "dropped." Do you have any other possible solutions? Could it be something that is not synced with my camera and wirecast somehow? I just am at a bit of a loss as to how to solve the issue. Thanks!
Mark Janzen As a test use a new document with only a webcam and just do a local recording with an MP4 preset.
Reset Wirecast Preferences as well before running the test. Wirecast > Help > Send Support Information but click on the lower left Reset Preferences.
That will remove the potential impact of any source issues or internet connection or server issues. Make sure you're using a fast drive, at least USB3 and 7200rpm but SSD or RAID0 is even better.
Ive got this problem too and i ve tried every option but its still crashing just as mark janzen said

it says that wirecast send not enough kilobyte (1600) when on wirecast its supposed to send 4 mb
The data rate set in the encoder is a target and it can vary by content. That generally wouldn't stop the stream.
Your upload test looks good enough to go to Facebook and YouTube at the same time without bandwidth issues.
sometimes wirecast stop sending instantly
Sorry but it's not clear how you're determining this.
all rendez vous are closed except that rendez vous is still on for other people since im using rendez vous on my other computer
This may be a different issue.
I'm sorry but it's unclear what you're doing and what is happening.
You need to describe step by step with a clear description so that we could repeat the steps.
You may need to take screenshots or do a screen recording showing what is happening.
i do get notification saying the sending is low
You mention Facebook but I think you mean YouTube. Yes Youtube will sometimes show that. As long as Wirecast streaming icon is green and the stream can be viewed on another computer it's good.
keep going its like litterally the internet stop for wirecast
I don't understand this. How do you mean the internet stops?
imagine you'r computer get no internet instantly well that what happend so at the end my stream stop sending any signal to youtube/facebook and i dont see the Rendez Vous guests anymore.
I would do a speed test at that moment. Providers can have temporary problems. If Wirecast loses connection to the internet its stream icon would go red with a line through it.
f needed i can give you teamview
You would need to contact premium support for that. You should do that if you have premium support. If the internet has a problem then TeamViewer would also not work though.
its what it does a red line on the wirecast logo on the deskstop
As soon as that happens do a speed test.
That is caused usually by either a bad internet connection or an issue at the server.
