Blank window when I Rotate the video

Hello. I've encountered a problem with my Flip Player and I believe this could have been since I've updated my Mac to El Capitan 10.11.6

I use this app to rotate and clip .MOV files - I've done this countless times without any trouble but recently I've encountered a problem when I rotate my videos. When I rotate the video 90° the window goes blank. If I rotate it 180° it will only display a small 'cropped' window of the original video. The blank window is now inhibiting me from trimming my video, because I can't see anything!

Does anyone know a fix for this?

I'm running  ver 3.3.7.3 and it's telling me that I'm up-to-date.

Thanks

Mark

  • I've just noticed the update on the website to 3.3.8.1 and downloaded it. It didn't resolve the matter.

  • Already escalated this with them, not heard anything back from them. This is definitely a problem with the OS. It doesn't work in El Capitan or Sierra but works Mountain Lion and Yosemite. Unfortunately i've updated this mac past those OS's so I really need a fix for the current OS.

  • Given the OS's role it may take some investigation to determine how to fix. Sorry about that.

  • I believe you may be able to rotate in in QuickTime X as a workaround. The old Quicktime 7 can do that as well.

  • Jennifer Kremer Hunter Fill out the above posted support form and ask for a status update. There's been no updates to Flip4Mac recently given it is not compatible with current macOS
