Revision History or similar in Screenflow 9
Screenflow 9.01 (31501)
I was just editing an hour-long recording and I accidentally deleted a large segment then the app froze (spinning beachball of death), I waiting over 10-min before force quitting. I reopened it and recovered the document only to realize the massive segment I deleted was gone! That was over an hour of work lost. Is there a way I can revert back to an older iteration? Is that a feature?
I assume you mean an edited portion of the timeline rather than media itself missing. It may be gone but do fill out the form and contact support since being alerted to this issue may be something the developers want to take up.
Do you have Time Machine backups? Just an off chance that it might have backed up the last iteration. Of course, that may mean when you last saved the document may be critical.
I didn't lose the source media, just all the editing work I did prior to the freeze. As a heavy user of Screenflow since v1.0, I am really surprised that by v9 with a professional software that you do not have autosave versioning as a basic feature, Adobe does this well and I would love to see this be done in SF. With Adobe Premiere, I can set the number of Autosave iterations it keeps on file and the frequency it will autosave so that I can always go back to a prior iteration if something happens to my file. Here is a screenshot of the file structure and a screenshot of the preferences with their options. Please push this through as a feature request.
