audio driver not installing for desktop presenter on MacBook Pro (2015)

is there an update that lets a Mac capture audio, or is this just crippleware for the mac?

I'm only guessing here since the mac model isn't essential, It's the macOS that has restrictions. Older OSs should work fine.

Also, you don't describe what "not installing" is. It's not clear what you are doing and seeing. When you enable audio capture you should get a popup asking you to install it and you need to confirm and you may need to give permission and reboot. Either the OS or third-party apps can block it.

If you're capturing locally use Wirecast's built-in Screen Capture. The old capture driver is problematic on very recent macOS versions. If you're doing remote capture it might be better to use the free NDI tools Scan Converter (Mac) or Screen Capture (Windows).

When posting you MUST describe how we can test and reproduce the issue otherwise we have to make guesses and can't test.

  • You'll have to copy/paste as you can see teh share link is telling me it's not recognized. I suppose that's my stupidity as well.

also, the NDI Scan Converter is "free" for $30.99 on the App Store. Ok, as long as I don't need audio, I can screen share via Desktop Presenter on the 2015 MBP. do I have that correct?

Kelly Lincoln I can't copy/paste a link in a graphic. You can paste the link into the forum. The forum supports links from YouTube.

No need to use the paste video feature. Just paste links directly.
