Wirecast disconnects NDI source generated by an instance of itself
Wirecast disconnects NDI source generated by an instance of itself after a few minutes of stream. This happened with the NDI 5 installation. I'm having to use the OBS, which works fine, no problems, because if I use an instance of the wirecast itself, it just disconnects and I lose my live. I noticed that wirecast disconnects from other NDI sources as well (such as Newtek Sparks), but less often. I'm very unhappy with the instability Wirecast handles NDI. I use a MacBookPro 16"/ 2.3GHZ Core i9/ 32GB RAM.
Anyone with this problem or a solution for it?

What version of Wirecast? NDI implementation is often updated with version updates so you should be on Wirecast 14.3.3.
What do you mean by an "instance of itself"
It's not clear what your NDI source is but if it's hardware please check and update firmware (Newtek Spark for example)
And depending on the source there's full NDI and NDI HX.
We need complete reproducible technical details to troubleshoot this. -
You could use the NDI Monitor as a reference. If the NDI is available and playable there it should so in other apps.

We appear to be having a similar issue with this. We can get an NDI feed to display then all of a sudden the source stops. We're running the latest Wirecast version on a Wirecast 420 box (purchased circa Mar 2020) and are running NDI 5. I seems like this may have happened around the time we upgraded Wirecast. We've confirmed through NDI Studio that we can see the NDI source (ProPresenter). Just curious what else I should check. Thanks in advance.

You check Studio Monitor as soon as you spot the problem in Wirecast (so the network conditions haven't changed)?
What version of ProPresenter are you running?
Wirecast 15.1 Beta may have improved this so do download and double check. If the issue still exists in the beta it may expedite the fix if possible.

CraigS Yes, we're on 15.0.3 as of 14 Aug, NDI 5 as of Jan 2022. Yes, the instance of NDI Studio was from the Wirecast machine during the event. We also ran the NDI discovery batch file and all the NDI sources (cameras, ProPresenter, etc) were found. I'm almost positive we're running the latest version of ProPresenter...which I believe is 7? I haven't check the Telestream site yet, but the beta is available?

CraigS I installed the beta version and it worked. The lyrics appeared and changed all throughout our practice tonight. Thanks for the help!
