Audio lost using Scarlett and Rendezvous

Hi!
I have found a problem on Rendezvous using Scarlet, a similar problem to the bug being described here a year ago: https://telestreamforum.forumbee.com/t/q6hhslg/rendezvous-causes-apollo-twin-audio-to-drop-out

I'm using Scarlett 2i2 and Wirecast, most of the time everything works fine. When I open Rendezvous and create a new session, there is a moment (when I add the 1st guest) that Wirecast and Scarlett stop working together. Scarlett is receiving my audio, but I do not register any sound on Wirecast.
To be make it work again a have to completely close Wirecast and start all over again, it does not work with new shots either.
Also, if I change the port of the mic on Scarlett while I am on Wirecast, I lose the signal. I need to plug it in and not move it again before opening the program.

I have noticed those two bugs on the last versions of Wirecast, it happens on: 14.3.3, 14.3.2, 14.3. I have to go all the way to 14.2.1 to make it work.

    We need a complete setup and workflow with repeatable steps so we can confirm and fix the cause.

    This issue identified in the thread you linked to WIRE-17065 was fixed in 14.0 but perhaps something happened in the 14.3 update (which came after 14.2.1) impacted the fix.

      CraigS Hi Craig!

      I’m working with an iMac Pro 2017, 2,5GHz and a RAM of 64GB. The OS is Big Sur 11.6.

      I’m still on Wirecast 14.2.1., I'll try to update (Wirecast and my OS) to the latest possible these days because I'm having different troubles every time I try to go live (with LinkedIn and YouTube, both).
      Have you confirmed the release of a solution for this?

      Garbiñe 14.2.1 will have problems on Big Sur. Please update to 14.3.3
      LinkedIn Live specific issue requires more work though since they're making changes on their end.

      CraigS And how does 14.3.3 works on Monterrey? Is it ok? I'm upgrading to Monterey.

       So far the only concern is Apple H.264 encoding as there's an Apple issue (not ours) with "Video Toolbox" that  Apple may have to fix. We're still testing but we do find it acceptable so far as per our tech specs.

  • I have an old Wirecast 8.2 license and am using 14.3.3 in demo mode to make sure everything works as expected before upgrading.

     

    I can connect my Presonus Audiobox USB 96 audio interface and it works as expected and the audio routes perfectly through wirecast. As soon as I admit a rendevous attendee, the Audiobox USB audio source shows no audio input at all within Wirecast.  I can not get it to work again unless I close Wirecast all the way and reopen it.

     

    I've troubleshooted re-adding the audio input as a source, and discontinuing the rendevous to see if that would bring the audio back but the only fix is to close Wirecast and reopen. I'm going to see if I can install 14.2.1 to see if it happens there, in order to upgrade my license.

  • I downloaded Wirecast 14.2.1 and the problem does not exist as the original poster suggested. Audio from the USB interface works fine even after the Rendezvous attendee is admitted.

      We now believe this issue may be fixed. We're testing so I can't confirm the release date but it will happen.
