audio: the basic background noise has greatly increased

I am testing Wirecast 15.0.0. beta.
Much better!
However, I noticed 2 things:
- the possibility of inserting external plugins is still missing; could you at least put in a reverb?
- as regards the audio: the basic background noise has greatly increased, which on version 14 is not present. It is also very evident from the VU meters which light up continuously. For me, audio is very important because I teach in a musical high school. Can it be corrected?

I'm not sure how you've verified there's increased noise. We have changed our VU metering so you may see differences though.
Wirecast Pro continued to have Noise Reduction.

I suspect that the previous speakers are about the so-called self-noise after reading from the D / A converter. Nevertheless, it does not occur for me. I also have an external audio mixer connected and I didn't observe what "PG" says.
As for the "NOISE REDUCTION" plugin. Basically, its purpose is important, but the algorithm used in it is of very poor quality. Is there a chance to improve it so that it generates "less plastic sound"? The problem with the algorithm and its automation is that the more we want to lower the background, the more destructive the sound above the noise becomes. Additionally, when it comes to the slider, the amount of reduction should also be specified in decibels. It would be nice if these two descriptions were found in parallel.
Besides, this applies to all similar descriptions to other plugins.

I have, in the past asked them, and will ask now - to enable the feature to add VST audio plugins for better audio quality. I thought it would come out with next big release, but it did not.

It would be great if you could add VST plugins. However, I think developers have so many different problems to solve that they focus on what is more important. But in general, I am in favor of VST support.

Krzysiek Sobieranski I am sure they do have other important things to do. But this is also important as other software gives the ability to use VSTs. Audio quality is important. And so I have asked this before, and I was told that will be added to their list. Yes, it would be very helpful if they can add this option to the software.

lynn_elliott Plugins by WAVES, and Accusonus. I have the plugins by these two companies. I use the NS1 by Wave for noice reduction, a couple of other compressors from Accusonus for every video I create. When I use Wirecast, I have to record the video and then edit that using other editing software. It would be good to have it all in one software. :)

287 / 5.000I did a test: I opened wirecast 14 and 15 with the same microphones, with the same settings (0db). When listening with headphones, the background noise is slightly higher but visually the diversity is evident. Also the "noise reduction" FX does not work on version 15.0.0 at all ...

I see. But let me tell you, I discovered one more problem with microphones, and actually with the inputs. Well, when I want to use the mic input from my Mac laptop, then add DYNAMIC and NOISE REDUCTION to it and then turn on more than a track, it turns out that the sound starts to jerk. I need to break the channels into separate teachers (POLAND / ENG). In this case, I cannot do it well from the computer's microphone input. If I use the input from an external USB mixer, this is not a problem. I can play all 8 tracks and it's okay.
In my opinion, check out yet another mic and a different sound card, just in case. By the way, something is wrong and it is worth looking at.

Pg We'd like to see the same source (Mic) recorded in Wirecast 14.3.4 and 15 Beta so we can compare the noise floor in an audio app. You can link the recording files to the forum.
