iGlasses with Screenflow

Hello!  I've updated to Screenflow 9.06 on my MacBook Pro with M1 chip using Big Sur 14.0.2

I'm unable to find iGlasses to adjust my camera which is  Logitech 920.

I didn't find any tips here?  I assumed iGlasses would show as a camera option as it does in Zoom but it's not there.  I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling iGlasses.

Any suggestions??

Keep in mind the developers may have to recompile the code from Intel to Apple Silcon. You should check with them for Apple Silicon compatibility. Then you may check to see if it works with what other apps.

They already state: iGlasses is not compatible FaceTime, Photo Booth, or the latest version of Skype due to restrictions on virtual cameras.
Quicktime Player does not support iGlasses, or other virtual cameras, on MacOS 11 (Big Sur).

And they don't mention Apple Silicon compatibility which may have additional issues so you must check with them for M1 compatible apps they work with.

Big Sur is currently at 11.1 though.

Larry Prochazka Installed the iGlasses demo. It is an Intel app, not Universal for Apple Silicon.

      iGlasses 3.5.5

      • As per their website, it does not work in Quicktime on Big Sur
      • It also does not work in Zoom 5.4.7 version for Apple Silicon (there's also a separate Intel version).
      • It may work with other apps that are also running through Rosetta but it is not working with Apple Silicon native software.

Please contact them for Apple Silicon native compatibility

    • CraigS Thank you!  It is working on Zoom on my MacBook Pro but that looks like it.  Is there any other app that works with ScreenFlow to adjust Logitech or other camera?

Larry Prochazka I think we'll have to wait until some apps are converted to Universal. The problem is that apps that need to run through Rosetta don't communicate properly with apps that are Universal or Apple Silicon specific.

Perhaps look at Webcam Effects in the Mac App Store which they've updated it for Apple Silicon. Possibly Manual Camera Webcam Control. We haven't tested these though.

If you're running the Intel version of Zoom (which would run in Rosetta on Apple Silicon) it may work. It does not work on the Apple Silicon version of Zoom though.
