Don't release the borders feature
Yes, the title is provocative, but hear me out.
Of course you can release the borders feature on 15.2. It's great and much needed. However, if you choose to, then disable the option to add a drop shadow. The fact that that the shape of the shadow does not reflect the shape of the border makes Telestream's programmers look like amateurs and not up to the task.
If a drop shadow is supposed to be the result of light hitting an object (in this case, the source), then the shadow should be cast accordingly. This is not the case in Wirecast 15.2
Yes, you can "simulate it" with the feather option, but why cheat ourselves?
Guys, you have a lot of competition. Do it right or just don't do it.

I suspect many users will like the outline feature even if we don't support the resultant alpha for the drop shadow to follow. As you might have seen in our live show, we're aware of the interest. Sometimes features may need to be added over time given the required changes in underlying code.
