Sizing video/vs slides imported with Remote Desktop Presenter

We are in the process of changing the way we import video clips into Wirecast vs slides. Video has been imported through a Blackmagic device which feeds us a SDI signal. We have been importing slides via PowerPoint and Desktop Presenter from a monitor on the graphics computer that feeds our projector.

The problem: When we embed the video (resident on the graphics computer) into the PowerPoint presentation, the slides and video project as they should onto the projector screen. But the video comes into Wirecast at half the size of the slides. If we resize the shot for the videos, the slides are too large to fit in the shot completely.

The slides are in 4:3 format, the videos are 16:9 (1280x720) format. The problem persists even if we change the video into a 4:3 format. The projector apparently has the ability to automatically adjust to the different formats. Desktop Presenter does not. Is there a way around this that will keep the images the same size?
