More specific clip names
It'd be helpful if the names generated for clips were more specific/distinguishable.
Currently, all my audio clips share the same name - the name of the mic used to make the recordings. There is no way to distinguish them.
All the video clips share the name "Screen Recording m/d/y" which is not helpful when you're recording many clips in the same day - there is no way to distinguish them.

Developers would like to know how should the clips be named automatically to avoid confusion. -
You can rename the clips, yes, but that can be tedious.
To make the clip names unique, you could add the hour, minute, seconds
Before: "Screen Recording m/d/y "
After: "Screen Recording m/d/y h:m:s"
Or some auto-incrementing value:
"Screen Recording m/d/y 1"
"Screen Recording m/d/y 2"
"Screen Recording m/d/y 3"
Very similar to new files work in other programs. If I create one new file, it's called "Untitled"; if I create another one it's called "Untitled 1", then "Untitled 2", etc.
You're already doing something similar to the above with the underlying clip files. For example, I see file names like "Recording-2021-04-21-155336.scc" (Year, month, day, time)
It'd be super helpful if the clips in my media manager just matched those names.
