Building a Mobile Wirecast system
I currently run a Macbook M1 Pro - 32GB and Wirecast Pro 15.
Looking to build a mobile Wirecast machine, and I would like suggestions and feedback on what people think of the setup.
- Rode Wireless Go II for the Wireless Lavalier mics to capture the audio of the Interviewer and Interviewee as they move around the photo studio. They plugged directly into the mac to capture the sound in Wirecast.
- The Insta360 Link camera to capture the video is what I was thinking.
Please provide input and let me know your thoughts.

Interesting setup. It should work in theory.
That camera is new so I haven't heard any first-hand reports on it yet. -
I don't know if wirecast ist capable of 360 streaming with graphics and such.

Jens Jarke I think this is mostly used as a panning subject tracking 4k webcam.

Live 360 would be nice. Thanks Craig. I use the Obsbot for this. They have such a good tracking unbelievable. You can hide behind an object, come out at the other side and the tracking is picking you up again. So strong. Would be nice to compare the both.

This is crazy coincidence ;-) I have exactly the same setup for education purpose. MacBook Pro M1, Rode and the lovely Insta 360. And using Wirecast pro latest 15 version.
I am looking in the forum who has experience with the Insta360.
I have trouble with the video capture of the Insta360. After some minutes the video from the camera freezes. This only happens in Wirecast Pro. In apps like Quicktime or Teams there is nog freeze issue. The insta360 can only be connected using usb-c connection.
I tried a lot, have also the best cable, but till now not a fix.
Do you already have the set-up? What are the experiences?
Hope you or anybody else has the answer.

Ernst Wierenga As a test make sure it's the only USB-C device hooked up. That makes sure there's not a bus bandwidth or power issue. Also, check the settings in System Device Settings and post a screenshot of that. Generally, those other apps only use a single USB-C device whereas Wirecast must scan all the buses and use other devices at the same time. The other apps also use a default camera setting which is invisible to the user. Wirecast allows you to change that setting.

CraigS Hi, thanx for your quick reply 🤜 Please can you give me a hint of what I should make a screenshot. I can not find a System Device Setting on the Mac. Tomorrow I will try your proposal. I only connect via usb-c a monitor. So I will discover if this causes the problem.

With this the settings, and a smile :-) It seems teamwork now. I was able to reproduce the fault:
When activating the controller of Insta360 link, the picture freezes. So for now the controller has to be closed. After restarting Wirecast all is fine again. But of course, it should not happen, I don't know how to solve that issue.
Are the settings (in Dutch) ok?

Ernst Wierenga It might be the settings. Please see if you can change Video Format from 2vuy to YCbCr NV12.
