Social media integration is rubbish!

So firstly, the comments connecting to youtube (and only youtube as thats my only streaming destination). I might be running an hour plus stream and randomly the comments will disconnect and will not be able to reconnect during the stream. This can happen after 5 mins, which means no comments for the rest of the video. In the output settings the stream I am currently running disappears, and through RTMP the comments don't work.

Also there is no separate way to distinguish superchats from regular chats without having to type in the username manually. Also, sometimes some of them don't even show up. I don't know if a mod will be like "post in requests" but I'm letting you know here. I'm surprised theres been no one saying this, but after I looked out how inactive the forum is I'm not surprised. This program is too expensive to have as many bugs as it does.

You'd need to provide an example with screenshots. Given the wide use of this feature and the lack of such reports, it might be a very limited or an account-based issue.

Because this feature is implemented through an API.

Again provide an example and why you would need this. Please explain how this might be implemented. Keep in mind that the feature may need to be in the API from YouTube.

Given the forum, Facebook and Twitter are all monitored, what you call "inactivity" may actually mean few people are experiencing these issues.

I've literally just started a live stream and the comments have already gone down. Running Mac OS 12.4 on M1 MacBook Pro, though it also happens on the Intel Macs and Windows.

In the second screenshot you can see that the stream doesn't show up in the events drop down so there is no way to reconnect. Even if I quit Wirecast it still doesn't show up in the events tab.

As for superheats, self explanatory, click a button that says super chats and shows all the superheats, or members chats. There's 100s of messages being sent and its nightmare to filter through especially when some messages randomly don't show up using the search feature.

Just Josh we need steps to verify this especially since we aren't experiencing this and I'm not seeing other user reports. We'd need to verify you're not having an issue with your accounts.

We are working on better filtering. It's possible chats are not checking and updating as fast as you'd like (that's also being worked on). Perhaps run a test with Wirecast 15.1 beta to see if we're making progress on this. This also includes support when using RTMP rather than just the API.

CraigS Ok, I'll try the beta, but I do get the issue in 90% of streams. I'm actually running one right now and its happened again. Also, I don't know if this is Wirecast or the API but if you open the socials window after the stream has started it doesn't bring up any of the chats before the time the window has been opened so you can't view any past chats.

Just Josh Please test the beta as there have been improvements to Social Media including updating comments. It may be related to the issues you are having.
