Editing the speed of all clips in a timeline at once

I have a timeline with about 50 clips on it. I want to change the speed using Clip Inspector (or any other method) so all the clips' speed change en masse and they still line up nicely on the timeline.

I've tried nesting said clips and also grouping them. That doesn't work.

What I'm doing now is editing each clip one-by-one and then marrying them up on the timeline. But it's a lot of work for something that seems to be perfect for doing at once.

Am I missing something easy?

Currently, you do have to do that one clip at a time.
You can go to our ScreenFlow Feature Request forum and make the feature request or vote for it if someone else has. There may be interest in improving this.

  • Is there a way to speed up an entire project (i.e., all clips, all tracks, all actions, etc.) before exporting?

Is there a third party app that might do this if I imported the SF export file?

Jamie Corroon Hi, did you ever figure this out? I also want to speed up the video and audio x 1.5 before compiling the MP4

Jamie Corroon Speed changes are on a clip basis only at the moment. Elsewhere in the thread the solution is to export everything and then import it back as a clip and then apply the speed change. I'd recommend exporting as ProRes for best quality.

  • Couldn't you just export the whole file as one file; import it back into SF; and speed it up?

  • Yes. This is a good workaround for now. Thanks Joe.
