4K capture device that will work with Mac or Win

i have three JVC 4K cameras (HDMI), and would like to stream in 4K next sports season. As of now, I don't know if I will be getting an M1 Mac or stick with a PC. Is there an external switcher that will work with either platform?

I was looking at an ATEM Mini Pro, but saw in the Q&A that it scaled 4K input down to 1080.

This is for a small high school--I can't afford a pro-level switcher.

Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4k is $1695
    I haven't noted anything cheaper for 4K.

If you're streaming sports it might be better to stream 1080p60 rather than 4kp30.
Keep in mind ESPN, ABC, FoxSport "broadcast" 720p60

  • There is the Atomos devices that can be used as a switcher and iso recorder. But using them as switcher will be limited to FHD.

You could buy the Birddog Quad 4K and connect it over fibre. But keep in mind that you would need a 10G connection it your computer.

    Or 4x Birddog flex.
