Problems scheduling a live stream on LinkedIn Live
I have had no problems doing this in the past, but today when I try to schedule a LinkedIn Live broadcast in Wirecast for 6 days in the future I get a server message "The live event must have a name." Anyone else having this problem or know how to resolve it? I am on a Mac running Big Sur 11.6 with Wirecast 14.3.1

CraigS I upgraded to 14.3.3 on another mac that still had an active support subscription and I got the same result. I get the error message that says "the live event must have a name."

Again please test with a New Document and Scheduling a New Event. -
CraigS I tested with a brand new document and tried to schedule an upcoming event in LinkedIn as you suggested and got the same error message. I recorded a screen capture and posted to show you the steps I took.

@Jason Hollingsworth Thanks for that recording. I'm wondering if your Title is coming back invalid resulting in the error. As a test can you use a short title with no spaces or punctuation and see if that works.

CraigS I used a single word in both the title and the post with no custom image and got the same error.

That may indicate either a LinkedIn API update or a change in our use of their API code. -

I've exactly same problem with same error message. Doesn't work anymore. Hopefully gets fixed soon.

I've confirmed this issue in our own account as well.

Well it seems there are quite few changes coming and happened already to LinkedIn Live. It seems scheduled lives are combining with events to live events. Might be the reason for this problem. https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/131764/upcoming-changes-to-linkedin-live-and-events-faqs

Also it seems it's not possible anymore to schedule Live Event from Wirecast. Page 4 from this document "Schedule the live event in your 3rd party broadcast tool (Restream, Streamyard, Switcher, Socialive ONLY) at least 2 weeks in advance for maximum reach". https://help.linkedin.com/cc/custom_fattach/get/147574668/0/filename/Live-Events-Getting-Started-Guide.pdf

CraigS totally understand your problem and strange LinkedIn haven’t informed from API changes. BTW Switcher Studio is iPad/iPhone app. So I guess there is some new closed API.
As we need scheduled LinkedIn Live next week we’ll stream it through Restream. But stupid to pay Restream for just this feature. So hopefully you’ll get access to new API soon 🙏

CraigS but after thinking you actually might be right with online interfaces theory as even Switcher Studio has online dashboard where you connect platforms and schedule lives 🤔

After digging in further to what you sent, I came across this link https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/128901 which talks about how to schedule or go live on LinkedIn by doing all the setup on LinkedIn and then just using the stream URL and key they provide from within Wirecast.

This could mean Wirecast Generic RTMP may work though. -
Wirecast 14.3.4 just released which fixes this issue.
