Full Screen Desktop Capture Extremely Choppy.

When ever I attempt to capture a video maximized to full screen, the resulting video in Screenflow is extremely slow and choppy. I've tried to capture on different sites with the same result. I've also tried changing various settings such desktop recording frame rate and document resolution, but to no avail.

If anyone could give me a tip, I'd be grateful.

  • [Update] I changed the Screen Recording Compression from Lossless to Adaptive and that appears to have solved the problem. Still testing.

Matthew Peak Generally adaptive is best unless you're doing a completely uncompressed workflow from capture to export for additional work in another editing or motion graphics program.

Perhaps Lossless pushing your system resources a bit hard.

    • CraigS My thoughts as well. I ran a disk speed test from Black Magic and according to their numbers, I would say that Lossless was just too much for my not-Pro iMac.
