Can't open screen flow

I was previously able to open screen flow and created content on it yesterday. Today while trying to open the application it will not open. My mouse will begin the opening circle however no matter how long I wait it will not open. I redownloaded screen flow without success. I'm using a macbook pro with Big Sur

    What version of ScreenFlow?
    Please update to ScreenFlow 10.0.5.
    Perhaps there's an issue with the User Account or ScreenFlow preferences.
    One way to check that is to create a New User Admin account (must be Admin) and boot into that account and see if ScreenFlow can open.

  • Latest version. I deleted and reinstalled the application off the website to see if that would help. Do you mean a new user admin account on my computer?

     Yes, create a New User Admin on your computer.

       Just download the trial version. You should only have to reactivate if you're putting it on a different computer than the other one.  Serial number is activated in ScreenFlow Preferences.

     That depends on the cause. That the issue is account specific may mean it's ScreenFlow Preferences issue or a User Account setting or some program that's only running in that user account that's impacting things.

    Now that you have it running in the new account the first step is to reboot the computer and see if it starts running in the original account.
    If it doesn't then I'll explain how to reset ScreenFlow Preferences.

      Shane O'Donnell Try this:

      1) Open a new Finder window.
      2) Select the "GO" menu top of screen, Hold "Option" key with menu open, and select the "Library" that appears.
      3) Navigate through the following folders; Application Support > com.apple.sharedfilelist > com.apple.LSSharedFileList.ApplicationRecentDocuments
      4) Delete the following file; net.telestream.screenflow10.sfl2
      5) Log out of your Apple User account, and then log back in (do not skip)
      6) Now open ScreenFlow to see if it will open normally.

       Since ScreenFlow hasn't changed, something on your system may be causing the file to become corrupted. Please follow the above steps again.
