Advanced Hot Keys
I'm setting up to do a 3 camera talk show. I am both the moderator and operator. The first three hotkeys are easy to setup.
1=Camera 1
2=Camera 2
3=Camera 3
I'd like to setup hot keys to do the following, but don't yet know how to tie specific shots from different layers together. I'm pretty sure this is possible.
4=Camera 1 with lower third with guest speaker's name
5=Camera 2 with lower third with second guest speaker's name
6=Camera 3 with lower third with my name
7=Split screen showing both guest speakers
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Although more keystrokes, you can just have keystrokes for camera, keystrokes for lower thirds and, if you're not using AutoLive, you can use keystroke for camera, keystroke for title and, after using both, the combination will be in Preview ready to go Live.
Of course if you have Camera without Title and Camera with Title, you can duplicate the camera shots and add the title within the Shot Layers. No need for another Master Layer that way.
What's most convenient does depend on your show format and other shot configurations. -
The methodology I chose was to duplicate the camera shots and include the lower third as layers. It is going to be perfect for our upcoming talk show where I am both the host and control operator using AutoLive. I documented the setup process for an Eagle Scout I hope to recruit for the role of operator. I can send you a copy if you are interested.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get Jens' methodology to work. Unless I am doing something wrong, I cannot get a hot key to activate both a camera shot on track 3 and a lower third on track 2 simultaneously. The Hotkey only plays the shot from the currently active layer. Though, if possible, it would be awesome, because I would like to use the Zero key to "zero-out"/clear all layers and activate the Host Camera. Any thoughts on that? Thanks.

CraigS I was able to get this methodology to work, thanks. I am going to stay with building the lower 3rd into the Camera shot (1) because I built it already and (2) because I will be teaching a Scout to become the control operator and want to make sure he does not accidentally display the wrong name for a guest by clicking somewhere he shouldn't. Awesome program! My next learning curve is broadcasting some existing video clips from YouTube.
