MXF OP1A playback
I am testing Switch (basic version). I get a messge saying that I can't play back MXF OP1a files from Avid Media Composer without a watermark as I need a licence for DNxHD. I have Media Composer installed on this machine so surely I should be able to play back and review my Avid exports?

DNxHD is not supported in the basic Switch Player. Given the license need in Switch (separate from Avid) there's a cost/charge involved.

Roger Shufflebottom Depending on the app they may be eating the cost of the license or have no license fee because they are not commercial. It's also possible some apps are accessing the installed component.
Handbrake and VLC probably using FFMPEG.
BMD has the license as its used in some (but not all) of their cameras so they'd have to support it.
Sony might have reason to cover the cost.
You can certainly talk to our developers about changing things.
