wrong Field Order in ProRes4444 File
Hey. I rendred a Movie from Premiere/Media Encoder as Interlaced (25i Upper Field First).
Apps like FinalCut and Adobe Family flag the File as interlaced, SWITCH tells me "progressive".
MediaInfo give me two types of Scan Type Metadata:
Scan type : Interlaced
Original scan type : Progressive
I think this is caused by the Fact, that the original File was proressive. In Premiere it was interpreted as Interlaced to add rolling Credits (that were rendered in 25i separate Fields) and create a new 25i File without reencoding.
So which Flag/Metadata does SWITCH use to define the Field Order? And is SWITCH able to fix the Metadata when I export/repack a new File (same Codec without reencoding)?
Thanks!

Yes, I am on 4.1.1
I uploaded a shor Sample with the same Behaviour.
And no, the Source was never PsF (which afaik is only a way to carry Video Streams on SDI Signals and does not matter on a file based Workflow).
My opinion on that: "Original scan type" (and thats the Metadata/Flag SWITCH is using) is based on the Video Stream Meta Data and "Scan type" is based on the Container Metadata?
Best.

Test the file and Switch is only seeing it as Progressive.
And Media Info shows:
Thanks for providing the file so we can check.
Please fill out the form and include the link to the file and we'll investigate how to fix/improve the detection. You should note my confirmation as well.
Also you may use the same form as a feature request to add the ability to change field order in Switch.
Thanks for your help with this.
