several cameras

hi

for my purpose i nedd several cameras

now i can make a record with

- my mac's natural webcam

- an iphone

- recording the screen

i would need to add an other device and that would then be fine for my work

but

- connecting my Canon EOS does not add it in the list of devices proposed when i make "new record"

- i have an old samsung that i could repair and connect but screenflow seems to allow only ios devices

- if even i buy an external webcam, will screenflow be able to use it ?

thanks for your answers

Vincent

Vincent Douce ScreenFlow can only use one external camera at this time.

In addition, ScreenFlow supports the following "UVC" capture devices:
    Magewell USB Capture
    Epiphan AV.IO
    AJA U-Tap
    Elgato CamLink 4K

Vincent Douce One UVC device of your choice. It could be a webcam or one of the above capture devices if you prefer to use a higher end camera.

I'm curious if something like this would be supported?

Steve Wilkinson We haven't tested specifically but it's possible given it may present itself as a webcam when using USB input.

CraigS Thanks, I think it does present itself as a USB webcam. I don't have one, but heard Alex Lindsey talking about it and all the kinds of solutions it can provide given the reasonable cost for the kind of equipment it is. Thought it might help the OP.

If all the other cameras are combined, then Screenflow would still be able to record those (via the one USB input) plus the iPad/iPhone, I'd guess.

Steve Wilkinson Yes, in theory, you'd use ScreenFlow to record the switched output. It's worth testing for sure.
