Audio low on Music Mode
Has anyone given feedback that audio seems low in Music Mode? I imagine this is partially due to the mic being further away when one is playing an acoustic guitar, versus talking via chat. I bumped the Audio in the shot up to 110% but still seemed low. Can anything further be done?
With that said, could it be better to purchase a USB mic, like a decent lavalier, to place closer to someone. And, are there any problems with Rendezvous picking up external mics on a cell phone? Any best practices you can think of when guest is on cell phone?
Thanks

I haven't heard other reports of this. It's hard to evaluate why. One has to check the levels the guest is sending. It certainly can be mic placement. Generally, you should close mic instruments. You might be able to apply the relevant audio FX in Wirecast's mixer but which one and how it alters the instrument's sound have a lot of variables.
The best type of mic to use depends on the environment. Generally, you'd want one highly directional. Keep in mind the gain needed for a dynamic mic is very different than a condenser and then the preamp levels are a consideration. Rendezvous generally uses the phone's internal mic but you can certainly test. -

I'm thinking its just due to the phone being 6 feet away from me thoThat might be it. That's a big distance for a phone's mic.
