@Corrado Cocco This is a Wirecast forum and the thread is about Wirecast Virtual Camera. For ScreenFlow questions please post in that forum.

I'm new... Sono. nuovo ... pace e bene a tutti!

Until recently, I was able to use my Canon camera in ScreenFlow as a webcam. To do this I used the Camera live software (Open Source) + the Cam twist software (Open Source). For a few weeks ScreenFlow has not seen the Cam twist software anymore ... and I don't know how to use a Canon camera in ScreenFlow anymore. Can someone help me?

Very Thank you!!

  • Given changes being made by Apple, the macOS may be a factor.

CamTwist 3.4.3 on macOS 10.14.6 Mojave
and ScreenFlow 9.0.3 can see it as a source.

  • Canon now has a beta webcam driver but, from what I understand, may currently only work in Chrome on Mac. It might be worth experimenting with this. More details here

  • Between looking at the CamTwist webpage and their Facebook page it looks like development is dead so i don't doubt compatibility may be broken in Catalina for example.

  • The simplest but most expensive solution would be to follow our Tech Specs and use one of the tested HDMI to USB3 input devices.

  • Thank you CraigS for your informations!!!

  • Corrado Cocco You're welcome of course.
I hear Sony and maybe Fuji are also working on software to make their cameras work on webcams. I suspect it may be some months before all that's workable so we can then investigate compatibility.

  • CraigS  Canon Software do not work in Italy...😂

  • Corrado Cocco Still beta so they may have work to do and it may not be released or updated everywhere yet.

In the meantime, the best solution is one of the above recommended HDMI to USB3 convertors (UVC capture devices).
