Prevent scrubber from jumping to call out

Is there a way of turning off the scrubber jumping to a selected call out? I always copy call outs and it's really annoying that it jumps once I have a position where I want to paste the call out to.

Best

Does disabling this have any impact?

Thanks Crag. I did turn that off but didn't restart the app. This morning when I relaunched it suddenly works like I want to. If it stays like this I'm happy, I'll let you know. Best J

Hi Craig, this is the issue. Why does it snap?

johan The endpoint of the Action is where one makes Action settings changes. changes. Sort of like snapping to an edit point.

CraigS Thanks, and I can see how that makes sense. But when I've created an action that I'm happy with I often only want to copy this to other section and not make any changes (apart from screen area maybe) so is there a way of changing this behaviour?

johan Disable Reposition scrubber after pasting in the aforementioned preferences.

CraigS That's unchecked and the behaviour is before I paste the action. The scrubber snaps when I select the action so I can copy it.

johan I'm trying to duplicate the behavior posted in the video in ScreenFlow 9.0.5 and the Scrubber does not move. It stays put over the original when I select the clip with the callout.

Please list your specific steps as otherwise, I seem to be doing what I see in your video. I'm not pasting anything since you don't show a copy paste in your video.

    Hi Craig

My scrubber definitely jumps to the action once I click on it as shown in this video. However,  my keystrokes aren't showing either so I'm going to re-install and see if that helps. Maybe it's just a prefs issue.

johan Please make sure you are on ScreenFlow 9.0.5. If you're on Catalina make sure System Preferences Security & Privacy all ScreenFlow functions have permission.

    ScreenFlow 9.0.5, macOS 10.15.6
    Copy Callout. Paste Callout.
Scrubber remains at front of newly pasted Callout.

Hi Craig, again thanks for your reply. I'm on Mojave and I'm pretty sure that's the problem. I've set the privacy for SC and re-installed but still no luck. Using an app cleaner so getting rid of old prefs so the only thing left is the OS. In a project, so not updating now but I'll let you know once I've installed Catalina.

johan I've tested 9.0.5 on both Mojave and Catalina on separate computers and both behave the same regarding scrubber use.  On Mojave you may want to check Security & Privacy Accessibility and see if ScreenFlowHelper is enabled.
