Crop Presets In Wirecast

With Rendezvous getting more usage time would love to see Crop Prestes in Wirecast. Speed is a factor for some workflows and this would help. I use this a ton when I have to use a Pearl 2

interesting request. Standard preset crops would speed up certain workflows.

  • And make sure I can pick a crop and put it in a Elgato Stream Deck action for one button triggering

Can I go a step further. Fix templates. Cropping is ultimately missing from templates. Perfect case in point. Do a shot with the "Three Panes" template. A and B look fine. C will always look stretched, because of the missing capability to crop within a template.

Greg Kuhnert We're aware of that. It's one of those things that will have to be done with some other underlying code.

So. If I wanted a complete template cleanup, I'd agree. But there are a few quick wins that would be easily be able to be integrated, without significant risk to other long term planned functionality.

    This could be delivered with:

    1. XML definition change. Thats a pretty low impact change. Just define the grammar for the XML loader to allow use of crop variables.
    2. Load the XML config item into the existing crop in memory variables when loading / activating a template.

Thats it. No user interface changes. I'd estimate no more than 20 lines of code, and it could be delivered.
