Audio encoder settings

Testing the demo version of Wirecast and wondering if the lack of 256k and 320k in AAC audio encoder settings when streaming is a limitation of the demo?  We are also vMix user and most other encoders allow all way to 320k for audio encoding but can only see 192k as the highest option.  As we often transcode our origin stream then we prefer to ingest with audio as best we can.

Thanks so much

  • They are limitations of the codec implementation and licensing and plaform.
For Example. Wirecast 14.1.2 macOS version
    AAC, 48kHz 320kbps is availble.

The Windows Media Foundation implementation we use doesn't allow for this currently.
