Audio crossfade not working
I'm running Wirecast 14.0.4 on a MacBook Pro with macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 and have never satisfactorily got automatic audio crossfade between sources to work when dissolving between shots. If I'm running a clip and dissolve to the next source, I'm expecting the audio to crossfade for the same duration as the visual transition, right? It's never worked for me. The sound from the first source just cuts out at the end of the transition. Can anyone help please? Many thanks.

14.0.4 is not completely compatible with Big Sur. Please test 14.1 public beta and comment in the beta discussion.

Audio crossfade has not worked for me for some considerable time - way before the latest OS.

Select two video clips with clear audio (music for example). Select the first one to go live, then select the slowest transition time, and cross dissolve to the second clip. The audio from clip 2 will start at full volume from the transition start, and the audio from clip 1 will cut out at the end off the transition.
Or an event clearer example is to cross dissolve to black (ie, a silent source). The audio does not fade out, but cut abruptly the end of the dissolve.-

Simple steps to reproduce- Set Cross Dissolve with Transition set to Slowest (makes the issue more obvious)
- Send Audio only shot live.
- Cross Dissolve to Clear Layer.
- Audio cuts abruptly.

Matt F I found the only transition which actually crossfades the audio is the Smooth transition.
