TURN Server Explained
13.1.2 update mentions it indicates which guests are using the TURN server.
WIRE-17078: Added logging and improvements for Rendezvous connection states. We also now indicate which guests in the Session are using the TURN server in the Rendezvous Dashboard.
What is the TURN server, how do I see which guests are using it, and how can I use this info to improve Rendezvous quality and stability? Thanks

Joey Daoud : If there is a 'P' next to the guest name in the Rendezvous dashboard in Wirecast, you're connected to the guest via our 'TURN' server. This was functionality added in Wirecast 13.1.2
A TURN server is a proxy server that we maintain; this means traffic from you (Wirecast Host) flows to our TURN server, and then from our TURN server to the guest (and vice versa).
This is only necessary if there are restrictive firewalls and we're not able to make a direct peer to peer connection.
We're actively working on improving our TURN infrastructure as Rendezvous continues to grow.

Have you considered the capability to allow client hosted TURN servers? This would be beneficial for a number of reasons. Firstly, its more scalable for your infrastructure... but also, the internet is not the same everywhere. Hosting a client hosted TURN server in a cloud in Australia might be a good alternative to improve performance, to avoid off-shore connections if all guests and host are in Australia on the same network for example.

Complexity wise, it would be better to resolve why a peer to peer connection is not possible rather that attempt to spin up & maintain a custom TURN server.Agreed. But on the other hand, there may be good reasons. Corporate customers dont always have an option to avoid a TURN server, but may already have these capabilities in a part of their environment. Not an issue for smaller clients, but may be for big boys

I can't find any documentation that explains the new release's buttons, views, options, or functionality that is any way comprehensive.New Release? Please explain are you referring to 14.0.4? If it's 14.1 Beta, that documentation is still being developed. 14.0.4 is in the current User Guide.
