Broadcast audio -12db with MAC ver. of Episode pro 6.4

Hi there,

We currently use Episode Pro ver 6.4.4 for our channel broadcasting on a MAC.

(currently we are trying to upgrade to 7.0 soon)

Our content that we receive for broadcasting varies from promotional videos to program content, from many different sources, thus there could be differences in audio levels, even though we have stated that audio levels should be at -12db for us.

In Episode Pro itself, under Audio Filters >> Volume, there is an option to adjust db levels so i attempt to apply the audio "Adjust by decibel" to -12db but obviously that will just decrease the volume. We would like to normalise the volume to -12db but that filter only allows by percentage.

If there is a db meter to check levels that we need to get or some way to set our encoded videos to -12dbs please can you shed some light on this matter.

Kind regards,

Justin

6.4.4 was compatible with 10.7.5. Last version in that series was 6.4.6
    6.5 from 10.9.x through 10.10.x
    7.2 from 10.11.x through 10.12.x

The best way to check levels is with Telestream Switch which is our professional QC app. The current version requires 10.10.x and up though.

See the Audio Meters (in the Plus and Pro versions).
